Principal

My name is Melissa McFarlane, and I am honoured to join White Fox School as both principal and teacher. I am excited to live in the community and become part of the Shadows team.

I have been a teacher for 20 years, with teaching experiences in Mexico, Halifax, Porcupine Plain, and Melfort.  Along the way, I’ve learned that families are a child’s first and most important teachers. I value the unique knowledge parents bring and believe deeply in learning that happens both inside and outside of school. It is a privilege to join families on the lifelong journey of educating their children.

Outside of school, I enjoy reading, playing piano, travelling, camping, fishing, kayaking, and spending time with my family. I look forward to meeting and working with all of you as we build a strong and supportive learning community together.
